Changes to Brazilian legislation regarding the use of RSHO™ cannabis products has created waves in the medical marijuana community around the world. RSHO™ produces a high-quality medical grade cannabis oil that is abundant in the cannabinoid CBD (cannabidiol). This natural botanical product is being imported into Brazil for four indications: epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, chronic pain conditions and now cancer. These products are created from hemp oil and lack the THC content that leads to the “high” that is incorrectly attributed to medical marijuana products.
According to the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute, an estimated 1,658,370 cases of cancer were diagnosed in 2015 alone. Another 589,430 of those who were diagnosed would have died from cancer. In the same year, the most common cancers were breast, lung, prostate, bronchus, colon, rectum and bladder cancer as well as non-Hodgkin lymphoma, thyroid, kidney, renal pelvis, endometrial, leukemia and pancreatic cancer. Out of every 100,000 people, 454.8 will receive a new cancer diagnosis.
The number of men who die from cancer is significantly higher than the number of women, and the risk of cancer mortality is highest among African American men and lowest among Asian and Pacific Islander women. Nearly 40 percent of all men and women will receive a cancer diagnosis at some point in their lives. A shocking 15,780 of those individuals are diagnosed between the ages of 0 and 19 and another 1,960 of those children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer will die. Cancer is the leading cause of death around the world, and South America is among the most common world regions for cancer diagnosis.
Brazilian Laws Regarding Medical Marijuana
Brazil has shown support for the medicinal use of the hemp-based oils produced by Medical Marijuana, Inc. by not only allowing the legal importation of RSHO™ cannabis oil but providing it through government-subsidized health insurance. Including cancer, RSHO™ hemp CBD oil has been also approved for import to Brazil for epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease and chronic pain. Listed among the properties of CBD are: a reduction in nausea, cancer prevention, pain relief, spasm relief and reduced frequency of seizures.
Marijuana and its extracts are currently legal in 24 U.S. states as well as Guam and Puerto Rico, hemp CBD oil is non-psychoactive and fully legal for access in all 50 states without any medical recommendation. Stuart W. Titus, PhD, the Chief Executive Officer of Medical Marijuana, Inc., announced a focus on providing accessible CBD oil to consumers across the world. The legalization of the products in Brazil is a promising start to improved access worldwide.
RSHO Success Stories with International Impact
The Brazilian government’s decision to legalize hemp oil products for four major indications came as the result of a struggle by Brazilian mother Katiele Fischer to use RSHO™ products to help her ailing daughter. Fischer discovered RSHO™ oil on the blog of another mother in America whose young daughter had found relief from her near-constant seizures for the first time after trying cannabis oil. Inspired by the young girl’s progress, Fischer imported the CBD oil for her own child even though it was illegal to import such products into Brazil at the time. Fischer courageously sued the Brazilian government’s regulatory unit, called ANVISA, for the right to give life-changing CBD oil to her suffering daughter. ANVISA determined that it would be “inhumane” to keep the oil from children suffering from epilepsy and similar conditions and approved its use for those indications across the country.
Katiele Fischer’s story is remarkable, but she and other hemp oil advocates have explained that it is only the beginning of providing these life-changing products to patients worldwide. The mission of Medical Marijuana, Inc. is to leverage the company’s professional resources and world-class products to increase awareness of the medical marijuana industry and improve access to its products worldwide.
HempMeds® Brasil has been created to facilitate the distribution of approved cannabis products to Brazilian citizens suffering from epilepsy, Parkinson’s, chronic pain disorders and now cancer. This company is the first to be allowed to distribute cannabis products within Brazil, an honor largely due to the scientific testing processes that go into creating each high-quality cannabis oil formulation.
Brazil isn’t the only country that is changing its legislation to allow sufferers of chronic conditions to find relief through RSHO’s innovative products. Medical Marijuana, Inc. is importing its Real Scientific Hemp Oil-X™ (RSHO-X™) products to Mexico. The use of this CBD hemp oil product was already approved by the Mexican health ministry’s official regulator for two female epilepsy patients. The life-changing benefits of CBD oil are clear and more world leaders are beginning to recognize the oil for the revolutionary medicine that it is.
