Mar. 19, 2010 (Business Wire) — Freshwater Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: FWTC) is pleased to announce significant sales progress in Peru. Our distributors have installed 10 FW water activators in refrigeration systems for a number of industrial and commercial sites in Northern Peru. In several situations, FW water activation technology is being used with cooling towers and evaporative condensers providing air conditioning for facilities and in the production of ice and ice cubes for the hospitality and fishing industries.
In the production of ice, the use of the FW Activator has shown a reduction in energy costs, a reduction of the cloudiness in the ice cubes caused by calcium in the water used to produce ice cubes and an elimination of the cracking of the individual cubes. This superior quality of ice cubes is made possible by the effect of FW water activation on water used in ice cube manufacturing.
When FW water activators are installed in conjunction with evaporative condensers and cooling towers for refrigeration purposes, our units clean and remove both algae and oxidation buildup, without the use of chemicals, which interferes with cooling operations.
In any installation, FW water activation helps to improve energy consumption, a major operational concern as energy costs are continually on the rise. Our distributors are building on these successful installations as evidence of FW water activation benefits for a variety of refrigeration functions. Removal of scale build-ups caused by mineral deposits in some water supplies is yet another benefit of this technology. The ten year manufacturer’s guarantee is also a plus factor in introducing Freshwater’s water activation technology to customers looking for the same benefits now being proven in Northern Peru.
