Mexico Government Continues to Grant New Import Permits for Medical Marijuana Inc.’s Cannabidiol (CBD) Oil, Cannabis Movement Continues Quick Progression in Mexico

The cannabis movement in Mexico continues to progress quickly, as the Health Department of Mexico, COFEPRIS, has now issued 48 individual permits for import of medical marijuana into the country. The first two import permits for medical marijuana were approved by COFEPRIS on February 2, 2016 for two young girls suffering from epilepsy to receive Medical Marijuana Inc.’s Real Scientific Hemp Oil™ (RSHO™), a THC-free hemp oil.

Until this landmark decision, imports of medical marijuana and hemp products have been a serious obstacle for epileptics and other patients in Mexico seeking relief from troubling symptoms.

Hemp Oil Importation to Mexico

Of the 48 individual permits granted, 22 were granted to benefit children and adolescents with epilepsy. Epilepsy is a chronic condition that causes severe and sometimes life-threatening seizures in adults and children. Real Scientific Hemp Oil™ (RSHO™) products are specifically formulated and produced to reduce or eliminate the symptoms of epilepsy and other medical indications, restoring quality of life to sufferers with debilitating medical conditions.

Of those 22 permits, 15 are for men and seven for women, mostly minors (3 to 14 years of age), and two young men aged 20 and 21 years of age. Dr. Saul Garza Morales, the head of neuroscience at the National Institute of Perinatology has been treating the youths alongside the head of pediatric neurology at a hospital for women and infants in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

“Crisis” Documentary, RSHO™ Helping Patients in Mexico Finding Relief from Debilitating Medical Conditions

A documentary called “Crisis” has been released to tell the story of the families who struggle to obtain permission to treat their suffering children with cannabis oil.

A mother whose child received the first permit for importation of RSHO™ told documentarians that the oil has changed her child’s life. According to the mother, her child’s seizures have been reduced by 50 to 60 percent. This kind of dramatic improvement may be remarkable, but it is common among patients who experience the difference made by RSHO™ products.

Hemp oil products reportedly allow children to sleep better and go longer without experiencing a seizure. Seizures can disrupt everything from the sufferer’s natural sleep patterns to their ability to focus on day-to-day activities, such as school and work. One child treated with RSHO™ was able to use a spoon on her own for the first time in her life because the oil minimized the tremors in her hands.

While the allowance of RSHO™ products has already changed the lives of dozens of patients in Mexico, advocates urge lawmakers to allow all cannabis derivatives for the treatment of seizures and similar conditions.

Even when other expensive and hard-to-obtain pharmaceuticals fail to adequately treat the symptoms of epilepsy, RSHO™ has been proven effective time and time again. Because all RSHO™ products are scientifically formulated for specific treatment indications, patients can expect real results and consistency. Cannabis oil does not come with many of the debilitating side effects that can make it difficult for patients, especially children and adolescents, to function normally while receiving treatment.

Despite the popular misconception that recreational marijuana and cannabis oil produce the same high, RSHO™ products are formulated without THC. This means that real cannabis oil offers healing benefits without the psychotropic effects of other types of marijuana products. For this reason, cannabis oil is becoming an increasingly popular treatment option for adolescent patients as well as adults.

Future Legalization

Medical marijuana legalization advocates have seen success in Paraguay and Brazil, but Mexico’s decision to grant 48 import permissions is significant in its scope. As an increasing number of permissions are granted, a greater number of patients in Latin America and around the world will be able to experience the relief that RSHO™ products provide.

On June 15, 2016, the Mexican Senate unanimously approved a marijuana reform bill to legalize medical marijuana in Mexico. The bill authorizes the use and importation of all medicine made with marijuana, subject to Mexican health laws, and clinical research for medicines containing marijuana.

Continuing the fight for improved access to hemp oil products, Medical Marijuana Inc. (MJNA) and its distributors continue to produce products that offer reliability and perform well in laboratory studies. Cannabis oil provides a safer alternative to many of the existing treatments for conditions such as epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease. As news spreads of this revolutionary treatment, governments around the world will face pressure to acknowledge the testimony of physicians and patients who understand the medical benefits of cannabis oil products.
