Paradigm Polymers completed the install of its Ecosafe Premium Foam retrofit product in North Haven, CT on Friday, September 25, for a 1950s, 2000 sq ft, ranch style, that was injected with our insulation product which is extremely versatile. Ecosafe Premium Foam, with its superior advantages, represents the product of tomorrow — available TODAY. This install will provide an additional R15.3 of insulation value to the building envelope. The full fill cavity of foam will give a “no draft” air barrier, with an extraordinary sound barrier. The block foundation will also receive its first insulation, to comfort the basement space and reduce energy costs. The install will be used as a model to show other homeowners in the area the savings they can expect from using Ecosafe Premium Foam.

NE Sales Director Bruce Benson has arranged the install with NE installers, Milan Petracek of Fairfield, Ct. The install was videotaped by Bob Shepard of B&B Video Productions of Guilford, Ct.

AMNE invited installers and local news media outlets to view the install and watch the ease of which the product is installed without damaging the exterior or interior of the home. The video footage will provide the commercial quality needed as AMNE moves forward with national advertising programs. The Conference Board says its index of leading economic indicators increased 0.6 percent in August, slightly less than the 0.7 percent increase expected by economists. Still, it marked the fifth straight month of gains in the index.

News of Dell Inc.’s plans to buy information technology company Perot Systems Corp. for about $3.9 billion did little to invigorate investors who have taken stocks up more than 50 percent since early March.

The benchmark Standard & Poor’s 500 index tacked on a 2.5 percent gain last week, bringing its total rise since March to 58 percent, after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke declared the U.S. recession was “likely over.” Investors are now waiting to see what the rest of the Fed has to say this week during its two-day rate-setting meeting, which begins Tuesday.

In early trading, the Dow Jones industrial average fell 62.05, or 0.6 percent, to 9,758.15. The Standard & Poor’s 500 index lost 7.44, or 0.7 percent, to 1,060.86, while the Nasdaq composite index fell 8.71, or 0.4 percent, to 2,124.15.

The agreement would allow ECOFL to market Ecosafe Foam and Infinite R in 14 states running from North Carolina to California. AMNE and ECOFL would share in the revenue under the agreement. AMNE would supply all the Ecosafe Foam and access to Infinite R to ECOFL at cost. In return, ECOFL would be responsible for setting up logistics to handle all 14 states, marketing, sales and installation.

The Truck was delivered to Hernando County located on the West Coast of Florida. The certification was done on the home of the sales rep. The team from AMNE went down to FL to certify the first installer in Hernando, a licensed contractor who two years ago saw his mason business come to a halt.

Two more installations are planned in Hernando and Broward Counties over the next few weeks at which time a film crew will be on hand to document the process for FL style homes, which are built using cement blocks and stucco coating on the outside. The new video will demonstrate to homeowners that when the job is complete their home will look the same.

Stocks are rising in early trading after a new report showed job losses were less than anticipated and the unemployment rate unexpectedly dipped.

In the latest sign the economy could be recovering faster than expected, the Labor Department says companies shed 247,000 jobs in July. Economists had expected 320,000 job cuts.

The unemployment rate dropped to 9.4 percent from 9.5 percent in June. Economists forecast the rate would rise to 9.6 percent.

The Dow Jones industrial average is up 77.76, or 0.8 percent, at 9,334.02. The Standard & Poor’s 500 index is up 8.91, or 0.9 percent, at 1,005.99, while the Nasdaq composite index is up 23.63, or 1.2 percent, at 1,996.79.

Stocks are trading slightly lower early Thursday. Support by gains in overseas markets and an encouraging outlook from Cisco Systems Inc. are being outweighed by a sluggish retail report.

The market’s gains, however, were muted by sluggish July sales reports from retailers, as worries about job losses kept consumers from spending freely. Expectations had been low though, so the dips in sales didn’t come as much of a surprise to the market.

In Europe, stocks rebounded after two days of losses after European central banks left their benchmark interest rates at low levels. The Bank of England also announced plans to expand its asset purchase program.

Meanwhile, Cisco Systems offered some fairly upbeat news, despite reporting a 46 percent drop in profit in its latest quarter late Wednesday. The technology giant, which narrowly beat expectations, said the quarter may have been the bottom of the recession-related downturn, noting positive trends in orders for its products.

The Labor Department is expected to announce before the market opens that the number of newly laid-off workers seeking unemployment benefits fell slightly last week, after rising more than expected in the previous week.

In the past two days, stocks have stalled from their big surge in July as investors become more cautious ahead of the government’s crucial July employment report on Friday. The market soared higher last month on signs of improvement in industries such as housing and manufacturing, but investors are worried that rising unemployment and still-sagging consumer spending could seriously dampen the economy’s recovery.

At the same time, analysts say some pause in buying is warranted after such a huge advance; The Dow Jones industrial average is up 13.9 percent in just 18 days.

In early trade, the Dow Jones industrial average is down 27 at 9,254. Standard & Poor’s 500 index is down 4 points at 998, while Nasdaq is down 10 points at 1983.
