SEATTLE, March 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — L&L International Holdings, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: LLFH), a leading coal mining and coal distribution company, today announced preliminary estimates for results of its third quarter of fiscal year 2009, ended January 31, 2009.

Based on preliminary information, revenue for the three-month period ended January 31, 2009, is expected to be approximately $11.5 million, an approximate 37% increase from the prior year’s third quarter of $8.03 million. Net profit for the three-month period ended January 31, 2009, is expected to reach $2.97 million, a 356% increase from the prior year’s third quarter of $652,920, subject to auditors review. The growth in net profit is largely attributable to increased sales for the company’s subsidiaries, L&L Coal and Kunming Coal (KMC), operating in the Yunnan Province in China.

Chief Executive Officer, Dickson Lee, stated: ‘I am very pleased with both our earnings and revenue growth during the third quarter. I expect continued growth in 2009.’

These results are preliminary, and, therefore, subject to the company’s completion of its customary quarterly closing procedures and are subject to auditors review. L&L is scheduled to release its final third quarter results on March 17, 2009.

SEATTLE, March 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — L & L International Holdings, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: LLFH), a profitable coal mining and coal distribution company, today announced a reduction of approximately 2 million of its common outstanding shares, or approximately 10%.

The 2 million common shares reduction is due to two recently completed events: the company reclaimed 1.7 million shares as a result of the spin off of the LEK compressor operation in January 2009 in order to focus on coal (energy) business; and the receipt of 400,000 shares from a shareholder for total of $1.00. The 400,000 shares will become L&L treasury stock.

Consequently, total L&L shares outstanding is reduced to approximately 20.5 million shares from 22.5 million shares.

Stocks show modest bounce after Yesterday’s 4 percent drop

A day after a steep selloff on Wall Street, investors are looking for bargains but are still cautious about the banking industry and the overall economy.

Some rebound was to be expected after the major stock indexes fell more than 4 percent on Tuesday on disappointment in the government’s announcement of a plan to overhaul the $700 billion financial rescue package passed by Congress last fall. The Dow Jones industrial average tumbled 382 points.

Investors are also awaiting a resolution on a more than $800 billion economic stimulus package that passed in the Senate on Tuesday. Republican and Democratic leaders are still at odds over how much money should be directed to certain programs. The final version of the bill is expected to reach President Barack Obama’s desk within days.

In midmorning trading, the Dow Jones industrial average rose 24.53, or 0.31 percent, to 7,913.41.
